RCC Institute Of Information Technology: The RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT), founded in 1999, is a technology institute in Kolkata, West Bengal. The Institute, which is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in West Bengal, is the outcome of a collaboration between the Ministry of Information Technology of the Government of India and the Department of Higher Education of the Government of West Bengal.

RCCIIT holds NBA accreditation for its EE, CSE, IT, and ECE departments and NAAC accreditation with a grade of “B++.” North Dakota State University (USA), University of Regina (Canada), College of Medicine Swansea University (UK), University of Illinois, Chicago (USA), University of Buffalo (USA), Texas Tech University, and various IITs (Kharagpur, Kanpur, Roorkee, and Guwahati) have collaborated with RCCIIT Kolkata.

Admissions to RCC Institute Of Information Technology:


Admission to the B.Tech. program is based on a legitimate rank or score in either the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or the JEE (Main) examination.
For M.Tech, the candidate must have obtained a valid score and rank in the PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) administered by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, or the GATE test.
 
Admission to MCA programs is based on merit.

RCC Institute: How do you apply?

Candidates who have met the selection criteria should take the following steps:
Applicants must fill out online admission forms, which are available on the RCCIIT Kolkata website. A scanned copy of the required documents must be submitted on a CD or DVD and emailed to the institute’s email address. The Institute does not accept USB devices for submitting scanned papers. At the time of admission, candidates must bring both the original and a scanned copy of their documents.

The RCCIIT Kolkata provides a variety of amenities to meet the needs of students, employees, and faculty members.

A few examples:


The institute library has textbooks, reference volumes, periodicals, journals, and magazines. There are over 33100 volumes, 5000 books, 4720 titles, online journals, and over 500 CD/DVD compilations. The book bank is available to the students. It also stores lab manuals and tutorial books for undergraduate and graduate students. Journals: The Institute library contains three sorts of journals. Books and other printed materials and periodicals distributed to students, employees, and teachers are included in the print journals. Scholarly articles can be accessed through ACM, IEEE, and Elsevier Science Direct online journals.

The club was founded on June 13, 2017, by RCCIIT students, with Awsaf Ambar serving as the charter president. The club’s mission is to provide non-profit social activities for career advancement and personal growth.
